Northridge
is the perfect name for these hunts as this is what is commonly
know in this area as the height of land. North slope drainage flows
into the Churchhill River system. South slope drains into the North
Saskatchewan river system. The area is a haven for Wildlife as it
is an island of ideal habitat with farmland and agriculture both
north and south. It is a bottleneck corridor for wildlife.
This area is in the prime Big Buck areas located just across the
Alberta border in Saskatchewan between Edmonton and Saskatoon. Over
the years it has produced many B & C bucks and over the last
few years several in the 200 class. We generally average over 150
B & C and have averaged 160 B & C. We expect our hunters
to pass on immature deer and will implement a fine if bucks under
140 are shot.
We have studied Whitetails intensely over the past 20 years and
have developed strategies to manage these adaptable animals by raising
them. This way we have come to know them like no other outfitter
can. With this knowledge we can nurture our hunting areas. We have
had a mineral program in place for several years with great results.
We also have a feed program in place in season with a pelleted feed
that delivers not only 19% protein but also 5% fat to help the Whitetails
store needed energy for hard winters. It also delivers minerals
and vitamins to bring does into a strong heat to bring the bucks
in and improve conception.
